UK based Flexi-Hex aims to remove plastic from the packaging industry and raise awareness of the threats currently facing the world’s ocean. Using a patented, honeycomb design made from recycled paper, their sustainable packaging is strong, adaptable, and biodegradable. The unique cellular structure of Flexi-Hex allows flexibility to fit irregular shapes and sizes. Flexi-Hex is made of open ended modular sleeves which are easily cut to the required size or fixed at the join point to encompass oversize products. The honeycomb geometry expands to create a sleeve 35 times wider than its compressed form.
Their personal experience of transporting surfboards around the globe inspired the founders Sam and Will Boex to create a sustainable packaging sleeve for the board sports industry. Flexi-Hex now develops sustainable packaging solutions across a wide range of commercial and industrial sectors.
