New Zealand-based packaging company “Convex Innovative Packaging” has developed Econic, a home compostable packaging range with different variants, purpose-designed to help eco-conscious companies reduce their impact on the environment while still retaining the same level of functionality provided by traditional plastic films. Each Variant delivers slightly different renewable content, aesthetic features and barrier properties to the original high barrier film which is now marketed as EconicClassic. Econic Packaging is available as both ready-made bags and rewind film for form, fill and seal production lines and can be made to order in a variety of sizes to suit the functionality and aesthetics required for specific products, brands, production lines and packing processes. The finished packs can include features such as home compostable zip seal closures, bottom gussets, four side seals, tear notches, angle seals, hang seals and degassing valves for fresh roasted coffee. We can also cater for specific packaging requirements such as high clarity, flow wrapping, vacuum packing and customised barrier properties. Econic-Pack is suitable for a wide range of applications, including food packaging, personal care products, and industrial products.
